Civil Case Lookup/Docket Print

After clicking on the link to civil docket print, there are two options for both Civil Court dockets and Wills/Orphans Court dockets:

First Option:

If you know the case category, year, and case number, enter the information into the three boxes and click “Run.” The two case categories include Civil-CV and Federal Tax Lien-FL.

Example: For Civil-CV, enter a year such as 2011, and a case number, such as 123.

Second Option:

If you do not know the above information, you can enter a name and/or partial name into the last name and first name search options. If you know the name of a corporation, you may type that as well.

Example: When searching for a person, enter their last name and first initial, such as Howell D to see possible results. When searching for a company, type the first word of a company’s name, such as Acme for Acme Rocket Company.

Categories of Cases:

The court dockets listed under Docket Print are for Civil Division cases and Wills/Orphans Division cases. The cases for the criminal division are located on a statewide system for Common Pleas Court and Magisterial Courts.

Civil Indices

These indices are maintained by the Prothonotary of the Washington County Courthouse. The Judgment indices can be used to search for judgments relating to both individuals and companies.

Example: When searching for an individual, type the last name and first initial, such as Howell D. When searching for a company, type the company’s first word, such as Acme for Acme Rocket Company.

Miscellaneous indices contain cases that did not start as judgments. It is possible for a case to appear in both the Miscellaneous indices and the Judgment Indices.

Example: When searching for an individual, type the last name and first initial, such as Howell D. When searching for a company, type the first word of a company’s name, such as Acme for Acme Rocket Company.
