Reports
Active Civil Trial List
The Active Civil Trial List provides listings for civil trials by the trial list number.
The options for the Active Civil Trial List include the Jury Trial List, Non-Jury Trial List, Arbitration Appeal Trial List, and Asbestos Trial List. After selecting an option, choose a Judge, and then whether you want to see summary or detail.
Civil Case Lookup/Docket Print
After clicking on the link to civil docket print, there are two options for both Civil Court dockets and Wills/Orphans Court dockets:
First Option:
If you know the case category, year, and case number, enter the information into the three boxes and click “Run.” The two case categories include Civil-CV and Federal Tax Lien-FL.
Example: For Civil-CV, enter a year such as 2011, and a case number, such as 123.
Second Option:
If you do not know the above information, you can enter a name and/or partial name into the last name and first name search options. If you know the name of a corporation, you may type that as well.
Example: When searching for a person, enter their last name and first initial, such as Howell D to see possible results. When searching for a company, type the first word of a company’s name, such as Acme for Acme Rocket Company.
Categories of Cases:
The court dockets listed under Docket Print are for Civil Division cases and Wills/Orphans Division cases.
The cases for the criminal division are located on a statewide system for
Common Pleas Court and Magisterial Courts.
Civil Indices
These indices are maintained by the Prothonotary of the Washington County Courthouse. The Judgment indices can be used to search for judgments relating to both individuals and companies.
Example: When searching for an individual, type the last name and first initial, such as Howell D. When searching for a company, type the company’s first word, such as Acme for Acme Rocket Company.
Miscellaneous indices contain cases that did not start as judgments. It is possible for a case to appear in both the Miscellaneous indices and the Judgment Indices.

Marriage Licenses
Within this section, you may search the record of Marriage Licenses from the Register of Wills. Enter the start date and end date that define your search. Include the month, day, and year that you would like to start and end with.
Attorney Inventory
There are two options for both Civil Attorney Inventory and Wills/Orphans Attorney Inventory.
Attorney ID Number Known
In the Attorney Inventories, you may search for records of when attorneys entered their appearance on behalf of a party in Civil Cases or Wills/Orphans cases. Search by entering the attorney’s ID number, case category, and start/end dates.
The two case categories for the Civil Attorney Inventory include Civil-CV and Federal Tax Lien-FL. The three case categories for the Civil Attorney Inventory include Orphans Court-OC, Non-Resident, and Marriage License.
Attorney ID Number Unknown
If you do not know an attorney’s ID number in the state of Pennsylvania, please use the
PA Disciplinary Board website.
You can search by the attorney’s first and last name to find their ID numbers. For other states, please reference their Disciplinary Boards or Judicial Searches.

Civil Division Documents and Books
In this section, one can search through the Miscellaneous and Ejectment (M&E) Index Books by book and page. The search results let you know if a case exists, but no further information is available.
